An unidentified Macdonnell boy from a family photograph taken by Henry Macdonnell in about 1916. This young man was dressed for a casual afternoon gathering with his affluent middleclass family. Even though it’s a day of outdoor play and riding bicycles, he is quite formally dresssed in white shirt, tie, vest, jacket and of course, short pants.
The location of the photo was 41 Bryn Road (‘Ty Bryn’) in Swansea, Wales.
